Pollen Time
This spring the Saguaro cactuses bloomed profusely, more than I have ever experienced by far. This was especially surprising with the extreme drought we were experiencing. What an incredible gift in this parched desert, beauty prevails. Thankfully, now the rains have finally come.
The bees love these blooms and begin their great work of pollinating. When they land on a flower in search of nectar, pollen sticks to their legs. Sometimes they step into a pollen sack and it attaches itself. Then they fly off in search of another flower, depositing the pollen once they land and voila, pollination!
