Hangin’ with Mama

Mama bobcat and two kittens emerged in our yards last spring, leisurely jumping off the roof, coming in for a drink and then lounging nearby. How fun to observe the kittens playfully tumbling under Mama’s watchful eye, then hanging out in the trees and rocks surrounding our pool. Such grace and confidence as they explore seemingly without a care in the world.
Bobcats are common all throughout Arizona, especially in the Sonoran desert. They are often found in the outskirts of town searching for food and water. These majestic cats are nocturnal, so they are less likely to be seen during the day. However, mine have been active during the day, putting on a show for me and mine and driving my dogs nuts!
