Sedona in the spring, what a beautiful contrast between the majestic red rocks and the vivid green new growth of the surrounding bushes and trees. I photographed this area while enjoying off-roading with my husband and friends. We both have such a sense of adventure and absolutely love spending our time outdoors. Our idea of adventure may vary, for him it is raw and fast and thrill seeking while I tend to be slower paced noticing the tiniest flower, the craziest rock formation, the gnarliest tree, and so on. Opposites really do attract, it can be so easy over the years to get caught up in how different you are and what you don’t have in common and this can lead to dangerous ground. The key is to focus on what you do have in common and celebrate those things, how can you share what you love together, how do you compliment each other. We both love the outdoors, the fresh air, the sense of discovery, the thrill of finding what is just around the bend. We have found a great balance, I have so much fun “riding shotgun” as we romp through the forest and the desert trails, including quite a bit of rock crawling. We take plenty of breaks to explore on foot, always with camera in hand as I revel in being a student of the amazing creation around me, not to mention enjoying our awesome picnics as well!
