Sonoran Rainbow

Blooming Prickly Pear cactus are such a beautiful sight each spring. There are  many different varieties with pads from bright yellow green, blue green, to purple and even shades of pink. The blooms vary in color as well with yellow being my favorite. Add to this the gorgeous Ocotillos in bloom, dancing in the breeze, and the new growth in the bushes and grasses each spring and you have an unexpected kaleidoscope of color you have to see to believe. I call this my Sonoran Rainbow and I am thankful indeed! Now for the pot of gold…

Sonoran Rainbow was juried into the Glendale Arts Council’s 51st Annual Juried Exhibit where it was awarded 1st Place in Oil AND was purchased by the City of Glendale for their permanent collection!
