Ebb and Flow

Standing before these magnificent boulders my toes burrow deeper into the moist sand. A warm breeze gently lifts my hair as I am entranced by dancing light and shadow patterns on the scene before me. The ebb and flow of gentle ocean waves calm my mind and sooth my soul, each wave movement different from the last. I seem to be hypnotized and mesmerized watching nourishing water caressing the sand and rocks before me, I drift deeper and deeper into peace. Pure joy fills my soul as time and distractions recede further.

I contemplate this peace, contentment, and being present in the moment. How do I bring a measure of this moment home with me, into my daily life, to remember and re-live in the natural rhythms of a continuously changing life? There are times when things are on the rise and others when they are on the decline. My mind now shifts to my creative flow, there are seasons where it ebbs and flows too. In all seasons, in all areas of life there is change and movement, growth opportunities.

This ocean travel experience has been a profound one within me, I have returned changed and seeking to slow, to be more present, to roll with the changes in life and make room for rest and peace, the soothing of my soul and relationships.
