Good Morning, Beautiful!

Purple iris has long been my favorite flower; I am endlessly drawn to its intricate shape and delicate petals. Knowing this, my mom has carefully divided and transplanted irises from her own iris beds, planting them in the garden at my mountain home nestled in the pines.
Each spring, I eagerly anticipate the coming blooms. When I catch the first signs of color, I am thrilled. Yet only a few would bloom or I would arrive too late to see their fleeting beauty.
This spring was different; I arrived just in time to witness my first truly profuse display of purple violet blossoms! Their beauty filled me with pure delight. I couldn’t wait to photograph and paint these beauties, preserving a moment that felt both fleeting and timeless.
