Buttercream Dreams

Visiting my beautiful friend in Tennessee, I couldn’t wait to explore her gardens. She is masterful and creative, each multilevel flowerbed truly a work of art. Vibrant blooms dance in the breeze, sun glistening off delicate petals.

Joy fills my heart; I cannot help but inhale slowly, experiencing the delicious aroma! Honeybees and butterflies flutter to and fro, even fireflies, what a treat! Purple iris has long been my favorite flower; I love the delicate shape of its petals. While she had gorgeous purple varieties, she also had colors I had never seen before, including this stunning buttercream beauty, so dreamy against the lavender blue sky.

This award-winning Bearded Iris is a Germanica “Fall Fiesta” known for its crisp light standards and ruffled honey, vibrant gold, and butterscotch beards. I must add these beauties to my Northern Arizona garden!
