Goldrush

Ah, beautiful spring emerges once again! Strolling through the desert, after the refreshing winter rains, new growth emerges. What was once muted and dry transforms into a vivid kaleidoscope of color, a Sonoran rainbow. Those not from the desert may be left awestruck at the transformation. This is the case now as we experience a super bloom after consistent rainstorms. One of my favorites are the Santa Rita prickly pear with its vibrant golds set against pads in shades of greens, blues, purples, and fuschia. How can I not smile, and feel joy, at such beauty as if it is nature’s gold rush.
