African Sun

There is nothing quite like a sunset on the African plains, with her brilliant sun dropping through the clouds and into the horizon before me. Oranges and reds spread along the sky transforming all into a world of wonder, one you don’t want to leave. The wildness of this place, with all her incredible beasts and birds, entrances me. I hear the beat of the drums, the sound of her people singing, as I gaze off into the distance. I know I must return home and yet I leave a part of my heart here in Africa forever.
