When the Leaves Fall
“Today a new leaf can fall, a new page can turn… everything has it’s cycles and it is time to fulfil that yearn.” – Stuart Young
Fall is such a beautiful time of year, vibrant leaves shifting from green to yellows, oranges, and shades of red. These leaves are released one at a time marking the change of seasons. They dance and flutter to the ground, blanketing the forest floor, gently moving on the pooling water after the rains.
It’s not so much if the leaves fall but when the leaves fall. Warm sunny summer days have come to an end, for now, and the crisp cool air follows, giving way to winter. We too cycle through seasons in our lives, some sunny and bright, others dark and cold. There is always change and the hope and promise of a new beginning, spring that bursts forth, breaking through the ground and budding on the trees. One season gives way to another. Stop for a moment and enjoy the beauty and promise within whatever season you may in, it won’t be here for long.
