Experiencing Maui for the first time, while celebrating our anniversary, my husband and I ventured over to world famous Mama’s Fish House for a fabulous early lunch. Our three course experience was divine, all the while watching the ocean lap the shore and the palm trees dance in the breeze. The clouds began to clear and the sun broke through, shadows dancing upon the warm sand. As we left Mama’s the sea beckoned me forward down onto the beach. Much to my surprise, I found myself up close and personal with this glorious sea turtle! I was on mission to find them on this adventure, how excited I was for this unexpected surprise! Kuau Cove, also known as Mama’s Fish House beach, is wonderfully scenic surrounded by coconut trees and protected by rocks, creating tidepools teaming with life. What a fabulous day, just begun, as we then headed off down the road to Hana.
