Sun Kissed Hike

Last spring the rains were plentiful and the California poppies profuse. It’s such a gift when these rare years come and the desert floor is blanketed in golds and oranges. These opportunities always bring me outside in search of her beauty. Moments like this are so fleeting and ones not to miss. This wonderful morning I was out hiking early near my home. The path before me wound through the mountains higher and higher, a different visual experience around each twist and turn. I loved the light and shadow interplay and the way the cholla caught the light all aglow!
