Sonoran Snow Day

Snow in the desert is such a unique experience. I have been waiting and waiting for it to snow here, wanting to capture it for myself. Wow, what a snowstorm we had, one for the record books! There were areas in the desert with well over a foot of snow, such a rare winter wonderland experience. Heading out immediately on my winter adventure, I climbed the snowy mountains in solitude. I could hardly contain my excitement taking in all the beauty surrounding me, with the snow crunching underfoot. How special it is to be the first one walking through the fresh snow, as if no one has ventured here before. Up and over the mountains I climbed to this incredible scene with Four Peaks layered in the distance. What a magical thing it is to see snow blanketing the desert landscape and cactus before me.
