Luminous Dawn

Each morning I stepped out early, as an abundant offering of buds emerged on my Argentine Giant, wishing to catch her in full bloom. I knew this one would be spectacular with all her buds and didn’t want to risk missing this stunning sight.  It’s a gift to catch these rare beauties, always so fleeting. Each one begins opening at dusk, reaching full bloom in the middle of the night. Then, at the break of a luminous dawn each bloom radiates in all her glory. What a sight, an early morning blessing! It’s so worth being aware of the beauty around you and being intentional about witnessing it, even getting up early and venturing out. You see, as soon as the sun is fully on these blooms, they close and pass away, each massive and fragrant bloom only open for one night. Will you seek out the beauty, stop and smell the flowers?
