Emergence

“Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world.” – Unknown

The Lotus bloom emerges from the darkness, each delicate petal opening, stretching towards the light. Shades of pink radiate, contrasting against her brilliant green pads below. Recently, I learned her bloom closes each night sinking below the depths only to re-emerge the next morning as glorious as before. No wonder the Lotus bloom symbolizes rebirth, creation, and a spiritual awakening.

To bloom, each flower must push through the mud and darkness and break the surface of the water. We can learn much from her about adversity. We too can grow through difficulties and darkness, seeking beauty and purity, breaking through difficult times to bloom beautifully. We may rise again, even when we fall, dawn comes once more.
