Early Snow

Sometimes you just need a change of altitude.

The early snow fell gently through the night transforming the forest come dawn. There is an incredible quietness as the snow falls, as if nature pauses to receive this gift. The crisp, clean air is intoxicating as I breathe in this tranquil scene. Cool shadows dancing in the snow contrast beautifully against the warm grasses and fall leaves. A soft breeze begins causing the leaves to quake overhead while the reflected light shimmers on her trunks. Stresses and cares seem to wash away, my heart opens and I am refreshed.
