Canyon Glow
Late afternoon light is by far my favorite for the warm glow and long shadows. I love the golden light on all that the sun rays caress. It’s a dance of warm and cool, light and dark in more ways than one, then this quickly fades into darkness. Maybe that is way I love it so, it’s fleeting, like a gift just for me and a reminder of all the beauty there really is in this world.
Canyon Glow is a scene from Canyon Lake about 45 miles east of Phoenix and one of the four lakes created by dams on the Salt River. Canyon Lake is the smallest of the four and likely the most picturesque. The lake is surrounded by scenic rock formations and red canyon walls brimming with native plants and wildlife.
