Under the sea awaits another world rich in vibrant beauty and magic, a hypnotic watery paradise. The ebb and flow gently push and pull as I hover, entranced by this exquisite sea turtle. His wise old eyes take in mine, unafraid and contemplative as he glides by the coral reef. Colorful fish dance in the crystal-clear turquoise waters nearby. My heart leaps with joy and time seems to stand still as I take it all in.
For over 15 years, since my first-time diving with turtles, I’ve wanted to capture the underwater experience on canvas. Recently, I was able to dive with an abundance of turtles on two separate excursions to Isla Mujeres, Mexico and Maui. Now, finally, it was time for this special painting!
