The Beauty Within

Sometimes it can be hard to see the beauty within, amidst the thorns and the darkness. Yet one bud and then another push through into the light and spread their glorious petals. The darkness only makes the light so much more vibrant, the beauty richer and more treasured. I am reminded to look for beauty no matter what surrounds me.

The Beauty Within was juried into the Oil Painters of America, 2019 Western Regional Exhibition at Sorrel Sky Gallery in Santa Fe, Nov 1-30, 2019. Sold at event and received an Award of Excellence!
