Monsoon Drama

In the midst of an abundant monsoon season, I find myself out watching the skies much more often. Thunderheads build and shift, rising higher into the heavens. As the sun drops low, she casts out the last of her brilliant light, washing these magnificent clouds in golds, oranges, and pinks.

Each evening’s dramatic display is varied from the one before, enthralling in its own way. These colorful experiences are so fleeting. Get distracted and you’ll miss her stunning crescendo in no time. As the nourishing rains begin to fall, I stretch out my arms receiving those first few big raindrops with a grateful heart.
