Living Waters

Greer is such a beautiful little village, nestled in the heart of the White Mountains, at an altitude of 8500 feet. Every season is a delightful paradise from the green meadows and flowers of spring, the refreshing mountain air and mild temperatures of summer. The fiery leaves of fall then emerge and are followed by a magical winter playground. Through all of this winds the mighty waters of the Little Colorado River. Surrounding the river are lush forests, wildflowers and abundant wildlife.

I was taken by this river, the life and beauty of it. As I stood here on the bank, I reflected on a book I was reading, one about living in a state of thankfulness, no matter the circumstances around you. Gratitude filled my heart, watching the sun filter through the trees and glisten on the snow, listening to birdsong and the rushing of the water overs the rocks.
