Echoes In Stone
Canyon walls rise high above clear, cool waters, rippling in a rhythmic melody. Playful splashes gurgle around and through boulders and pebbles, lapping at the waters edge. Imposing stone carved through the ages echo these delightful sounds. Sunlight dances on the water and cliff edges as trees sway in the breeze and birdsong fills my ears. Time passes slowly here; cares drift away as these echoes persist through the ages. What stories have passed through the canyon before me?
Seeking to explore Wyoming’s stunning landscape, we were referred to the Tongue River near Dayton. It is a tributary of the Yellowstone River, flowing through Wyoming and Montana. The Keyhole Arch stands above the entrance as a sentinel beckoning us forward. Hiking along the river, exploring her beauty and listening to the gentle water flow was truly mesmerizing!
