Blush in Bloom

These beauties bloom profusely in my backyard, collected for their vibrant dramatic flowers. I love searching out stunning plant specimens to enjoy and then capture in oil paint on canvas. The Torch cactus, from the Patagonian Desert in Argentina, is known for its dramatic fiery red flowers. However, it can be found in magenta, pink, orange, or a combination of these lovely colors. She is a beacon of resilience and endurance, protection and survival, and can symbolize the ability to thrive against all odds. These vibrant blooms are also incredible pollinators drawing bees, butterflies, and birds, providing nectar and life.
