A New Day Begins

My husband and I rang in the New Year at our special mountain retreat in the woods, celebrating with beautiful friends. The snow fell gently throughout the weekend, collecting on the trees and blanketing the forest floor. As the winter storm broke and the sun began to rise the next morning, pinks and oranges emerged on the horizon, kissing the landscape before it. Elk walked softly through the snow, welcoming the hope of a new day. Each and every sunrise is a new opportunity to begin again, to start fresh on this grand adventure called life.
