West Fork Reflections 1

Today I re-entered my studio and started on my knees, turned on my music, prepared my paints, brushes and canvas, decided on a photo, and began to paint. Hard to describe what this does for me, it’s like my heart expanding, my breath deepening, my soul and creative tanks refilling, a peace entering. I decided to begin a Northern AZ series and this is the first one. My Mom and I took a day trip to Sedona photographing fall leaves. I love spending time up in our woods whether our time is spend hiking, off-roading, on a picnic, floating in a canoe, playing horse shoes, photographing, or just strolling through the woods, I feel this is my sanctuary. It is where I love to spend my time and and how being out in nature recharges me and refills refills my tank each time I visit..
